"The Dutch Connection” at the Pilgrim Hall Museum, Plymouth Massachusetts Please join us for a special tour of the Pilgrim Hall Museum on Saturday, August 1st at 11:00 a.m. This tour of the museum and the “The Dutch Connection” exhibit has been organized specially for the NAF members. Mrs. Peggy Baker, Director & Librarian of the museum will be joining us on the tour. “The Dutch Connection" is a special exhibit that will run through December 31 of this year at the Pilgrim Hall Museum. One of the exhibit’s special features is the 1609 record book of the City of Leiden in which is recorded permission for the Pilgrims to reside in that city. The record book is usually not on exhibit and because of its fragility and susceptibility to fading from light, will only be available at the museum until the end of August. “A View of Leiden” painted in 1650 by Dutch Baroque Era painter Jan Van Goyen which is on loan from Leiden's De Lakenhal Museum is another. Delft plates mark the many other Dutch items on display. For the younger participants, this is a fun vacation outing with a Treasure Hunt which they can participate in during the tour while learning about the connection between the pilgrims and the Dutch. Please sign up for this special visit as quickly as possible. We look forward to seeing you there. Parking: It is possible to park without charge in the parking lot behind the museum. Alternately, it is possible to park for a fee in another parking lot about one (1) block away.
