Dit jaar zal de Koninginnedagreceptie van het Consulaat wederom plaatsvinden bij de Dedham Country & Polo Club. Zoals altijd sponsort de NAF Boston dit event en zij organiseert tevens op de zondagmorgen haar eigen "Oranje-Boven" Golftoernooi.
Het Golf toernooi
Spelformaat
Wij spelen een speciale versie van “Texas Scramble”. Ieder team van 4 spelers
krijgt vier (4) oranje ballen gesigneerd door de Consul der Nederlanden en bij elk hole een ander teamlid moet spelen met één van deze oranje ballen. Aan het einde van elke ronde moeten deze speciale oranje golfballen worden teruggegeven aan de Consul der Nederlanden en voor elke oranje bal die ontbreekt worden er drie (3) penalty strokes geteld bij de team score.
De Golfbaan
Dedham Country and Polo Club is opgericht op 19 mei 1910 door een fusie van twee clubs: the Norfolk Country Club (NCC) en de Dedham Polo Club (DPC). De Club heeft een eerste klas 18 holes golfbaan, de enige in Massachusetts die is ontworpen door Seth Raynor. De 18 holes zijn nog steeds de originele; er zijn alleen wat veranderingen aangebracht aan de tweede en zesde hole en de tee op hole acht is iets teruggeplaatst. Kosten en registratie
De kosten bedragen $150 waarin zijn begrepen green fees, lunch en een $50 donatie voor de NAF haar scholarship fund. Leden van de Dedham Country and Polo Club betalen slechts $50 (voor de donatie aan de NAF). Betaling vindt plaats via check (tav “Netherland-America Foundation”). De cheque kan worden gegeven bij de starting tee op zondag 3 mei (om 9:30 uur's morgens) of u kunt de cheque per post sturen ter attentie van Hans Gieskes, 515 Common Street Dedham MA 02026. Indien u wenst kunt u ook per PayPal betalen na het invullen van het online registratie formulier.

This year, the Queen's Day Reception offered by the Consulate will be held at the same location as last year: The Dedham Country & Polo Club. The NAF Boston will sponsor this reception and in connection with this event has organized an "Oranje Boven" Golf Tournament on the Sunday morning.

The Game Format
We’ll play a special version of a Texas Scramble: every team of four players will get four (4) orange golf balls signed by the Dutch Honorary Consul, and on every hole a different team member will have to play with one of these orange balls. At the end of the round these special orange golf balls will have to be returned to the Honorary Dutch Consul (frugality is a Dutch virtue), and for every orange ball missing three (3) penalty strokes will be added to the team score.
The Venue
Dedham Country and Polo Club was created on May 19, 1910 as a merger of two Clubs: one, the Norfolk Country Club (NCC) and the other, the Dedham Polo Club (DPC). The Club has a first class 18 holes golf course, the only one in Massachusetts designed by Seth Raynor. The 18 holes remain the same to the present day, with some changes to the second and the sixth holes and moving the tee back on eight. For more information and directions: www.dedhamclub.org
